Car Notes
Ebay 2005/04/25

Odessa, TX

You are looking at quite possibly the nicest, barely used Trans Am currently on eBay, and even better, it's an SLP Firehawk! It is #0045 out of 1500 produced. Non-smoking owner. Car has been kept in garage and handled and cleaned with extreme care. All pictures can be viewed at http://photobucket.com/albums/v118/pillarfan1/For%20Sale/ If you are looking at this auction, you probably already know that a Firehawk begins as a (more or less) fully loaded Trans Am. By fully loaded, I mean it has power windows, locks, mirrors, seats (with lumbar support), T-Tops, leather seats, everything! The only option the T/A had to offer that I didn't get was traction control which, quite frankly, hurts more than it helps. Then the T/A gets sent to SLP where it is equipped with Firehawk standard “second sticker” content such as the composite Firehawk hood, complete with functional heat extractors, SLP dual/dual exhaust, high flow air lid, and Firehawk badging. Optional content I chose was the Bilstein suspension system, 17in chrome rims, Firehawk floormats, deckmat, and exclusively to 2002 Firehawks, the decklid spoiler! However, the factory 345hp/350tq just wasn't enough for me. As soon as I got the car, I put on the GMMG chambered exhaust system with SLP long tube headers, complete with off road pipes. This car is LOUD!! It gets extra loud whenever you take the cats off, so be prepared! I modified the transmission by replacing the stock, 1800 stall torque converter with a 3200 stall Vigilante, and added a B&M supercooler and a Trans Go shift kit, just to make sure everything runs smoothly. From here, I added a MAF translator and a strut tower brace. And to put all this power to the ground, I replaced the back two tires with Nitto 555R extreme drag radials. All the aforementioned stuff was professionally installed. This setup has gotten me closer to 400hp/425tq. I've also done some minor appearance mods, such as SLP badges on the roof halo, replaced the stock, black lug not covers with true chrome locking lugs that compliment the rims nicely, added 20% tint all around, added vinyl decals to overlap the Firebird license plate cover and filled in the PONTIAC letters on the back, and my favorite, embroidered the Firebird logo into the headrests. Now for the best part about this car: the Audio/Visual system!! I had a Kenwood KVT911 touch screen DVD/TV/Cd/Tuner installed in dash. For the subwoofers, I had 3 10” Treos installed in a custom fiberglass body. To assist with all that power, we also put in a 600 watt Phoenix Gold amplifier, and a 1200 watt Phoenix Gold amp. Also installed was a Phoenix Gold Powergrid to keep the power from draining the battery. The stock speakers were replaced with Focals throughout the car, and a middle speaker was installed in the dashboard for full surround sound. The whole car has been fit with Dynamat Insulation to keep the sound clean. This system cost nearly $7,000 dollars!! The pictures speak for themselves. The car also comes with a REMOTE START and ALARM SYSTEM. You are bidding on one HOT car! This car would be perfect for competitions or just to cruise around town in. Believe me, this car picks up MAJOR attention. So if you don't mind being the envy of your city and friends, and getting looks every time you drive this bad guy around, this is the car for you!
