In 1998, SLP Engineering had an ambitious plan for the Firehawk. Unfortunately, the car never made production for 1998 and only six examples were built (3 Formula based and 3 Trans Am based). This car is one of the three Trans Am based Firehawks built by SLP for the 1998 firehawk program. This car was owned by SLP until I arranged for my father to purchase it from them in 2003. See a slideshow of the car here: http://img315.imageshack.us/slideshow/player.php?id=img315/4996/11498057376p7.smil

This car was used for promotional purposes, magazine tests,as a prototype for the '98 Firehawk program, photoshoot car, and durability test car. It was a magazine cover car and was driven hard, but has survived well with only a few bumps and bruises. The car is in the same condition as when it left SLP except for a few maintenance items, a flowmaster muffler (original included), and an SLP skip-shift eliminator.

I have some items that should go with the car so they will be offered to the successful bidder at additional cost. The slideshow and the pics here tell most of the story. If you have any questions ,please ask.

Note: SLP retained posession of the fixed headlamps and prototype hood as they did with all six of the 1998 cars. I have obtained one of the 4 prototype spoilers from the 1998 Firehawk program and it will be offered to the successful bidder.

This car is a real piece of history and I hate to be letting it and the rest of my Firehawk collection go, but personal circumstances make it necessary. So, here is your chance.

SLP Options
Auburn, High Torque, Performance Differential w/AAM cast aluminum cooling cover
Combination of leading edge Auburn Gear and American Axle Manufacturing technology enhances traction and helps reduce differential operating temperatures under certain driving conditions. System detects variance in the gripping force of each rear tire and redistributes the engine load as road conditions change, thereby enhancing vehicle performance and stability.
Chrome Wheels
17"x 9" Chrome-Plated, Five-Spoke Aluminum Wheels. SLP orignal offered chrome Speedline wheels as a option 1995, but never delivered any. SLP moved to American Racing Equipment rims in 1996 and started delivering the chrome option.
